Daily/Pre- and Post-Trip Routine Maintenance

Visual inspection: We check tires for wear, cuts, or low pressure; inspect brakes, lights, wipers, and horn; look under the truck for leaks or loose parts.

Fluid levels: We verify oil, coolant, power steering, and windshield washer fluid.

Battery check: We inspect for corrosion, loose connections, or unusual odors (like rotten eggs, indicating a potential rupture).

Exterior wash: We rinse off road salt or debris to prevent corrosion, especially in winter.

Weekly/Monthly or Every 1,000-2000 Miles

Oil and filter change: We monitor levels and change if due (semi-trucks can often go 15,000–30,000 miles between full changes, but check weekly).

Air filter inspection: We clean or replace if dirty to ensure proper engine airflow.

Brake system: We test pads, drums, and air lines for leaks or wear.

Tire rotation and balance: We rotate tires and check tread depth (at least 4/32 inch for steer tires, 2/32 inch for others).

Every 5,000–10,500 Miles / Basic Service (Dry Service)

Suspension and steering: We inspect shocks, springs, and linkages for damage.

Belts and hoses: We check for cracks, frays, or looseness.

Exhaust system: We look for leaks, rust, or loose clamps.

Wheel alignment: We adjust if needed to prevent uneven tire wear.

Full Service Every 15,000-25,000 Miles (Wet Service)

Full fluid replacement: We change engine oil, transmission fluid, differential oil, and fuel filters.

Cooling system flush: We drain, flush, and pressure-test coolant annually or as needed.

Air conditioning service: We inspect for leaks, recharge refrigerant, and clean coils.

Semi-Annually (Major Service) or Every 25,000–75,000 Miles

Engine evaluation/Service: We perform a full diagnostic for compression, valves, and overall health. Engine tune-up

Brake overhaul: We replace the linings if worn beyond limits.

Electrical system: We test the alternator, starter, and wiring harness.

DOT compliance inspection: We ensure all records are updated for FMCSA regulations.

Annual/Regulatory - Once per year, regardless of mileage
